Holarrhena antidysenterica- Easter tree or Kutakapala is a small tree commonly found in altitude above 1500 m., grows up to 10 m tall leaves are green, oppositely arranged, ovate, measured 10 to 30 cm long, flowers are white with five petals, found in Easter season so it is called Easter tree, flowers found in clusters with aromatic pleasant scented. Plants contain white latex. Bark and root is useful in Ayurvedic treatments.
