Plant description:

it is an erect herb, annual herb, grow up to 150 cm height, grow as a weed in paddy fields, leaves are simple, lance-shaped, opposite, and length up to 9 cm long, flowers are yellow, erect, minutely hairy, solitary, borne in leaf axils, x elliptic, and up to 3 mm long, often 3 to 4 angled, fruits are capsules, cylindrical shaped, contain a large number of seeds inside, stem woody at base, greenish or purplish in color.
