Malayalam: Aryaveppu-ആര്യവേപ്പ്, Nimba-നിംബാ, Vembaka-വേമ്പക.

The neem tree is said to be a miraculous tree, it is believed that this tree is introduced by Buddhists in Kerala, they considered the tree as sacred. It is found all over India mostly in deciduous forests. In Kerala it is known as Aryaveppu, It is a fast-growing evergreen tree reach a height of 15 to 20 meters. The branches are spread widely, the leaves are pinnate and sized 20 to 40 cm long, dark green leaflets are about 3 to 8 cm long. Flowers are white and fragrant, bisexual flowers, both male and female flowers exist on the same tree. The fruits are roundish and commonly in a cluster, and sized 0.3 to 0.5 cm, yellow in color when they ripen.

Uses:
Oil is extracted from seed is Known as Neem oil (Veppenna), it is a known pesticide, the cake is used as a bio-fertilizer

Anti-fungal, Anti-bacterial, antiviral, contraceptive.
How to prepare medicines:
Chicken pox itching can be reduced by rubbing plant leaves gently, it is also capable of preventing infection, can prevent bleeding.
