Little Tree Plant – Biophytum Sensitivum is an annual herb that resembles a miniature coconut palm, with branchless stems, that grows up to 30 cm tall. The leaves are numerous, dark green pinnately compounded, at the apex, sized 5 to 11 cm long, with 8 to 14 pairs of leaflets, oblong to ovate or curved. The flowers are tiny, yellow many, the sepals are lanceolate, and up to 7 mm long. Five petals are rounded with red marks, and flowering is August-January. The fruit is a capsule.
Medicinal uses:
To treat headache, fever, dysentery, Vata and Pita disorders, hemorrhage, cough, urinal disorders, ulcers, and poison of insect bites.
