It is a deciduous tree commonly in on dry hills, slopes areas, medium-sized trees, up to 5 m tall, bark is ash-colored and papery. The leaves are arranged alternately, pinnate, clustered at the branches apex, up to 40 cm long, with 8 to 15 pairs of leaflets, up to 6 cm long. Leaflets ovate, toothed margin. Flowers are white or creamy, tiny, 8 mm across, borne in leaf axils. Fruits are berries, about 2 cm long, three-cornered.
