Indian long pepper (Piper longum) is a flowering climber vine, that resembles with black pepper plant, leaves are dark green, heart-shaped, perennial, arranged alternately, ovate-oblong, aromatic, 6.5 cm to 9.0 cm long, flowers are male and female, borne on different plants, Fruit is long, dark green it turns red, when ripe, dried fruits are black color. It is one inch in diameter seeds are contained in a fleshy berry, 2.5 mm long. propagation- stem cutting can plant to prepare new plants.
