Fire flame bush (Woodfordia fruticosa) is a deciduous shrub with many branches and grows to 3 m. tall, found in tropical and subtropical regions; Leaves are 4 to 11cm long and 2 to 4 cm broad, lanceolate or oblong, punctuate bottom. Flowers many, red, in axillary, paniculate cymose, clustered up to 16, pedicels are about 1 cm long. Seeds contained in a capsule, sized 0.6 to 1cm long and 0.3 to 0.5 cm broad, which is brown and obovate.
