Deadly Nightshade (Atropa belladonna) is a highly toxic plant and is not used in traditional Ayurveda practices. In fact, it is considered one of the most poisonous plants found in the wild. The plant contains tropane alkaloids, including atropine, scopolamine, and hyoscyamine, which can cause a range of severe symptoms when ingested.
While there are some plants in Ayurveda that have toxic properties, they are used in highly controlled and precise formulations under the guidance of trained Ayurvedic practitioners. Deadly Nightshade, due to its extreme toxicity, is not part of Ayurvedic pharmacopoeia.
It’s crucial to exercise extreme caution around Deadly Nightshade, and under no circumstances should it be used for medicinal purposes without proper training and guidance from a qualified healthcare professional. If ingested, it can be extremely dangerous and potentially fatal. If you suspect ingestion of Deadly Nightshade, seek immediate medical attention.
