Date palm grows up to 75 feet in height, growing singly, forming a clump with several stems from a single root. The leaves grow up to 6 meters long, with spines on the petiole, pinnate with 150 leaflets, the leaflets are 30 cm long and 2 cm broad, forming a crown, fruits are berries, globose, in clusters of orange or red. While ripen it becomes soft and fleshy, every fruit contain a single seed which is hard and tapered at both end.

Purging and cleaning out unwanted body substances, regulate the urination, enhance fertility, Relieve cough, enhance strength and vigor, used as aphrodisiac and tonic, ulcers of the genitals.
