Plant description of Bowstring Hemp:

Indian Bowstring Hemp, commonly known as “Indian Bowstring Hemp” or “Mauritius Hemp,” is a plant that has several traditional uses in Ayurvedic medicine. Bowstring Hemp is a herbaceous perennial plant. The leaves are pale green with whitish marks, dagger-shaped, erect, fleshy, fibrous, and flat; up to 1.5 meters long and 7 cm wide. The flowers are dull-white, numerous, fragrant, up to 3 cm long. Fruit is globose, about 8 mm in diameter, and seeds are ovoid and white. Rhizomes are ginger-branched and fibrous.
