Beetle killer is a shrub, found in forests areas, it is erect and grow to the height of 3 to 8 ft, not much branched with a quadrangular stem, three leaves found at the node, arranged oppositely, coarsely, glabrous, base acute, young parts are usually glabrous. The flowers are numerous and showy in lax pubescent dichotomous cymes, of acute bracts at each branching and flowers are in a fork, with a pyramidal erect panicle about 6 to 10 inches long, bluish in color, glabrous outside, cylindrical and hairy. Flowering is in between the months of Aug-Sept.

Used in the treatment of rheumatism, dyspepsia, cephalic and ophthalmic problems, dropsy, Intermittent fever, bronchial asthma, hiccup, worm infestation, burning sensation, abdominal disorders, head diseases, sprue syndrome, malarial fevers, snake poison breathing is problems like asthma allergy and bronchitis
